Description
Probably a horse decoration as opposed to one made for a camel.
Finely knotted and complete with woollen tufts and tassels for keeping away flies, the band also retains its long, braided tie cords. Made by Qashqa'i nomads in the province of Fars, south-west Persia circa 1900 - 1920, the band is in excellent, complete condition and would make a most attractive wall-hanging.
Size: 1.02m x 7cm (3' 4" x 3") excluding tassels.
