Description
This rug was made by the Khamseh Confederacy in south-west Persia around 1880. The rug contains a three-lozenge design on a deep indigo-blue ground filled with stylised flowers and, if you look very closely, you will see one little, fat, red chicken! The borders are beautifully executed and the rug is in excellent condition.
