Description
This rare and beautiful 'sinsile' or head-band, once belonged to a woman of the Ersari Turkmen tribes during the 19th century and would have been attached to her hat. It is made in silver, fire-gilded with stamped plaques, loop-in-loop chains, pendants and table-cut carnelians.
Size: 57cm deep x 40cm wide (1' 10" deep x 1' 4" wide).
