Description
Antique horse trappings of the Lori-Bakhtiari tribes rarely appear on the maket-place these days as many were simply given hard use during the 19th century through to the early 20th century and afterwards, discarded!
This lovely example has come from a private collection where it has been treasured since the 1980s and comes back to me in very good condition, complete with hanging tassels.
Woven in soumak technique, all the colours are natural with white cotton highlighting and made circa 1920.
In very good condition.
Size: 75 x 27cm (2' 6" x 11") excluding tassels.
